Rize — a tenth of a product to a shipping MVP in a month
Joined a platform that was about 10% built, shipped the MVP in one month, then rebuilt the whole interface in the next.
The problem
A product stuck at roughly a tenth of itself is the most expensive place to be: there is enough code to constrain decisions, not enough product to learn anything from users, and every month without a release costs the runway that pays for it.
What I did
Two focused months: the first on cutting scope to what an MVP actually needs and shipping it; the second on rebuilding the interface and experience across the platform once there was something real to design around.
Technical detail
Ship, then refine
The MVP came first and the interface rebuild second, in that order deliberately — a redesign before there is a working product redesigns a guess.
Leading the engineering team
Head of engineering through both months: the pace came from what the team stopped doing as much as from what it built.
Where it stands
The owner's account: a complete MVP in the first month and a full UI/UX rebuild in the second — before the AI wave reshaped the space the product was in.
