# MCP Server Development: Make Your SaaS Work Inside Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor

> An official, production-grade MCP server for your product's API — built in about two weeks for a fixed price, documented, listed, and fully owned by you.

Your users already work inside AI assistants. The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is how those assistants — Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and others — reach real products. If your product has an API but no official MCP server, users either can't use it from their assistant, or they run unvetted community servers with their API keys.

## What I build

- **An official MCP server** on top of your existing API — the tools your users actually ask for (create, search, update, report), designed around real prompts rather than a one-to-one copy of every endpoint.
- **Safe access** — OAuth or API keys, read-only and write scopes kept separate, and destructive actions clearly marked.
- **Remote or self-hosted** — a hosted endpoint for your cloud customers, and a package for self-hosted installs where that applies.
- **Docs and distribution** — setup guides for Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor, and listings in the main MCP directories.

## How it works

1. **Free one-page tool spec** — I read your API docs and propose the tool set, so you can judge before committing.
2. **Fixed price and scope** — agreed in writing up front.
3. **About two weeks** — build, test against real assistants, document.
4. **Handover** — the code is yours; optional maintenance as your API evolves.

## Experience

I build MCP servers for my own products: [Orchestra MCP](/en/projects/orchestra-mcp), the memory system for agents behind [CaBrain](/en/projects/cabrain), and Moharrik — a CRM with WhatsApp and AI that is fully operable over MCP. I also created [TomatoPHP](/en/projects/tomatophp), 90+ open-source Laravel and Filament packages.

## FAQ

### We already have a public API. Isn't that enough?
An API is built for developers. An MCP server is built for AI assistants: fewer, better-described tools that map to what users ask for, with safe defaults.

### Who owns the code?
You do. It ships under your name and licence.

### Can you work with our stack?
The MCP server sits beside your product and talks to your API, so your backend language doesn't matter. I usually build in TypeScript or Go, or PHP for Laravel products.
